KAUKAUNA– Nancy Nusbaum, candidate for Wisconsin’s 2nd state Senate district, will be endorsed by former Congressman Steve Kagen, Outagamie County Executive Thomas Nelson, Kaukauna Mayor Gene Rosin, and other local elected officials this Monday at noon in Kaukauna.
Nancy Nusbaum, born and raised in Green Bay before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was elected Mayor of DePere for four consecutive terms. During this time, Nancy managed to create over 1,800 new jobs and lower the city’s debt without causing grief for the middle class. In addition, she served as Brown Country Executive for eight years, acquiring a Governing Magazine award for Innovation in Government due to her role in pioneering the openings of the Fox River Trail, the Resch Center, and the Convention Center. It’s apparent that Nancy first and foremost cares about the well-being of the people of Wisconsin by providing them with beneficial resources and services without the strain of middle-class oppression. Nancy currently resides in DePere with her husband, John, a Silver Star recipient from his service in Vietnam. The two have two grown children and two grandchildren.
